MEMBERS ABSENT: Officer David Bush, Sgt. Scott Hanson

1. Call to Order
George Pettit called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM.
2. Roll Call
Doug Marshall called roll and the quorum was met.
3. Ordinary Disability Retirement Application
Appointment of a physician to conduct an Independent Medical Examination of Christine Fixel
Doug Marshall stated that at the last meeting, the board appointed Dr. McCulloch to conduct a second independent medical examination (IME) of Christine Fixel. However, Dr. McCulloch does not perform independent medical examinations. Mr. Marshall contacted Dr. Suiter, who had conducted the original independent medical examination, and explained that the board wants to conduct a second IME with a cornea specialist. Dr. Suiter recommended Dr. Gary Mackman. Mr. Marshall contacted Dr. Mackman’s staff and confirmed that Dr. Mackman would conduct an IME for this purpose, and a tentative appointment was set for Officer Fixel.
Jerry White made a motion to appoint Dr. Gary Mackman to conduct an independent medical examination of Christine Fixel. The motion was seconded by Jim Flanagan and passed 3-0.
4. Minutes
James Flanagan motioned to approve the minutes of the meeting of November 9, 2006. Mr. White seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
5. Scheduling of Future Meetings and Agenda Items for the Next Meeting
There are no additional items for consideration at this time. The next meeting will be scheduled when the report of the Independent Medical Examination is received.
6. Adjournment
Jerry White made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Jim Flanagan. The motion carried 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 9:05 AM.
